Is your uterus the reason you can’t get or stay pregnant?

You will often hear me say to clients that your fertility is made up of 50% you and 50% your partner. However, the 50% that is female is much more complex than the male.

The male 50% is basically all about the sperm and testosterone that influences the sperm. Whereas, the female side is made up of the various reproductive hormones at play that are constantly going up and down, egg quality, the integrity of the uterus, the endocrine system, the menstrual cycle, as well as the blood supply to the ovaries, uterus and various female organs.

Understanding the uterus

Understanding the uterusThe uterus can be compared to a pretty big inverted pear, but not quite so oval in shape. The stem of the pear corresponds to the neck of the womb.

The uterus is light and hollow and somewhat supported laterally. When it is well, it just balloons around and we don’t even know it is there. It is only when the uterus gets enlarged or displaced that it can become a problem.

When there is an issue with the uterus, the conventional medical approach is through surgery and mechanical insertion, i.e. pessaries.

The wonderful thing about homeopathic treatment, however, is that it has the power to make the uterus lighter and return it to its proper position via taking simple sugar pills in the form of homeopathic remedies. A much easier and gentler approach, don’t you think?

The uterus and recurrent miscarriage

The uterus carries an important role as it holds the foetus throughout the pregnancy. Women who are experiencing recurring miscarriages at the same time of pregnancy could well be experiencing induration (which means hardening or thickening) or softening of the uterus wall.

If this is happening to the uterus, it can prevent the natural expansion during pregnancy, causing the pregnancy to end too early.

What is amazing is we can use homeopathic remedies both before and during pregnancy to absorb this induration, restoring the uterus to its rightful shape and size.

What might cause the uterus to become indurated?

Here are some examples of what might cause the uterus to become indurated:

  1. Endometriosis or adenomyosis
  2. Infections – causing inflammation of the uterine lining
  3. Scarring – i.e. from a previous D&C or infection
  4. Fibroids

How do I know if my uterus is OK?

You might be wondering, well, how do I know if my uterus is OK or not?

Here are some common signs in the body that may indicate that your uterus needs further investigating:

  1. Gastric troubles
  2. Dizziness
  3. Pain in the uterus area and lower back
  4. A change in how you urinate or pass a stool in some way
  5. Nervous system exhaustion
  6. A new vaginal discharge
  7. A sensation that everything would drop out of the abdomen

If you recognise at least five of the above-mentioned symptoms, I recommend requesting a physical examination of the uterus by a doctor to see if there is an issue.

For any homeopaths out there reading this, Aur Mur Nat is a wonderful remedy to help this issue, but only if the symptoms match the individual.

There are always many, many different remedies that could help with such issues, so for best results, always seek a professional homeopath for advice.
