A Love Letter To Your Uterus
It’s so easy to start to feel a lot of negativity towards your body when you aren’t falling pregnant as quickly as you would like. Especially when it happens so quickly for everyone else, it’s so easy to jump to the conclusion that there must be something wrong with you. However, this isn’t necessarily the case.
It’ all subconscious thinking of course, but damaging to your fertility all the same. The first thing that I recommend you do is to start to use visualisations during your meditations. Visualise your ovaries and Uterus glowing, happy and healthy while you meditate on the fact that you are a fertile vessel designed to receive and create.
My second recommendation is to write a letter to your Uterus and the whole reproductive system. You may want to read it from time to time when you are feeling low about things or burn it once it’s complete. The very act of getting your thoughts and feelings down onto the page and out of your head can be so healing and help you to shift any negative emotions that may have built up during the time of not falling pregnant…yet.
Here are some ideas to get you started:
Try saying hello to each part of the reproductive system i.e. Uterus, ovaries, vagina, adrenal glands, pancreas, thymus gland, thyroid gland, pineal gland, pituitary gland and hypothalamus.
Write about the different things you’ve learned about your reproductive system during your fertility journey.
Try to explain as elaborately as you can your adoration and gratitude for what your reproductive system does. Think of all the possibilities for the future.
Discuss any feelings of doubt in your bodies abilities that you may have had and why that is.
Acknowledge any negativity you may have felt towards it in the past and ask your body for forgiveness.
Voice how you would like to relate to your reproductive system going forward, establishing a newfound relationship with it.
I assure you that writing this letter will feel very healing and switch your mindset to a more positive one.
Here is a wonderful affirmation from the writer Tosha Silver, if this resonates with you try writing it out on a post-it note, sticking it somewhere you look at regularly and reading it every day.
“Allow me, Divine, to be tender and accepting of my body no matter what ailments I may have. May I always know it’s doing the best that it can. Help me be a loving ally and friend to this sacred form!”
